If you find something in the FAQ that is incomplete, please post an answer here.

"What is a Narwhal?" "What do they look like?" "Where do they live?"

please submit it to us so we can include it.

Question of the Day
What has been made out of Narwhal tusks?

What has been made out of Narwhal tusks?

Many things have been made out of Narwhal tusks throughout the centuries. Everything from cups to canes.
An interesting story (based on fact) has been written about a day when Narwhals were not known and Unicorns were believed to be true. In the story a sailor comes across a Narwhal and sells the tusk as a "Unicorn Horn". The sailor then get another to make a cup to drink from and yet another to grind up into "magic powder".

From Tags@aol.com:
Hi I am a homeschooler and I am currently reading a book about how forks
spoons and knifes were made and also table manners. And it is very
interesting! But I read in one of the pages that in the middle ages they
would make the handles for knifes out of "Unicorn Horns" but it actually was
Narwhal horns. I thought that was very interesting, and being as you are
obviously a fan of Narwhals I thought you would like to know. Thanks.
